Canelo Alvarez vs Jermell Charlo is only a few days from now and Alvarez has been featured in many TV shows, including the one hosted by Hugo Sanchez, one of the most distinguished legends in the history of Mexican sports.

Sanchez who earned his bones in Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in the 80s spoke with Carlos Aguilar for TUDN and acknowledged the great boxing career that Canelo Alvarez has had so far while adding that Canelo should have more recognition than what he gets.

"I define him as a sports leader, an irable boxer and we are missing idols in Mexico, we have to give him the magnitude he has. It's a special feeling for me, I'm used to being interviewed and now that I do shows with personalities, with Saul it has been a very pleasant experience."

Sanchez claimed "I ire him as a Mexican, he has all the traits of a real Mexican athlete and boxer is of a boxer. At this moment he is one of the athletes that moves us, and we wish him success, he is giving us a lot of joy. I have much iration for him because as a child and during his early years he suffered, he had difficult jobs, but perseverance got him through".

Finally, Hugo emphasized that Canelo is an example for everyone inside and outside the ring, because of his business skills "His personal istration and the way he handles his finances says a lot about his intelligence, he has a lot of merit because without having a business career, he has the mental capacity to know how to manage his money," he concluded.
